How do I know what size I need?

All of our wigs have adustable caps to fit most heads and to help you achieve a custom fit look.

How do I fit or put on my wig?

First, secure your own hair by using a wig cap. Hold the wig by the back (where the tags are) and shake to freshen up the fibre. Loosen the velcro straps or hooks in the back of the wig, as you can resize later. Grasp the wig by the sides and slip it over your head. Adjust so that the two tabs on each side of the wig are resting by your ears and so that the front of the wig is aligned to your own hairline.

How do I style my wig?

Your wig can be styled by using a wire brush, a wire pick or your fingertips. Your wig was designed with a basic style but the variations you can achieve through styling are limitless. Added height can be achieved by gently lifting with a brush. If you want added fullness as well, tease or back comb then smooth the surface hair over the teasing. To return your wig to its basic style, simply brush thoroughly, clean and allow to air dry.

How can I use styling products with my new wig?

We have a range of specially formulated care and styling products including conditioner, fibre oil, revitaliser and finishing spray to help keep your new hair looking and feeling great. Take a look at the aftercare section here.

How do I clean my wig?

Can I heat-style my wig?

It depends on the type of fibre used in the wig you choose:

Synthetic Fibre: You cannot use heat utensils on a synthetic wig, as the intense heat will melt the fibres and damage your wig. Also beware of standing near open fire or under a heat lamp (eg at a pub!) as being close to intense heat can damage fibres.

True2life or Heat Stylable Fibre: Can be gently heat styled up to 180C. Please still be careful and read and follow the instructions enclosed with the piece or wig for the best results.

Human Hair: Can be gently styled. Just like any human hair, it is easily damaged, so use a low heat as possible and be gentle! Human hair pieces and wigs are generally more expensive, so taking good care of them will ensure that they keep looking amazing for longer.

What is a monofilament wig?

A monofilament style has sheer lace/mesh either on the parting, at the crown or over the whole head. Fibres are individually attached to this sheer mesh and look very natural to wear. It also has the ability to match your own individual scalp colour and offers versatility in styling, allowing you to part the hair in any direction.

What is a hand-tied wig?

Hand-tied wigs are hand-knotted on a fine soft mesh.  This technique creates natural looking movement and as the mesh is soft , it creates a lovely comfortable fit that is lightweight and very natural looking.

What is a lace front wig?

A lace front wig has sheer mesh at the hairline of the wig. This sheer coloured mesh (or lace) has individual hairs tied to it. The sheer mesh will blend in with your skin tone, so the individually tied hairs on it, will look like they are growing out of your head! We love this style of wig as it created a natural looking hairline that is good for wearing your hair back off your face.

What is the difference between synthetic and human hair?

Synthetic: easy to maintain (wash and wear), less expensive than human hair, easy to style, pre-styled to hold its shape. Human hair more versatility (can be heat-styled and coloured), longer durability and custom styling.

Is human hair better than synthetic?

Not necessarily ... choosing between a human hair wig and a synthetic hair wig is more or a personal preference. For example, a person looking for a wig that is easy to maintain and less expensive would choose a synthetic wig whereas a person looking for a wig they plan on wearing everyday and that they can heat-style themselves would choose a human hair wig. Keep in mind that just because human hair costs more it does not mean they are the "better" wig to buy. Many times a high quality synthetic wig looks more realistic than a low-quality human hair wig.

Why are some wigs more expensive than others?

Like most items you purchase, the price is a reflection of quality. The higher the quality the higher the price. There are many different types of materials that can be used to make wigs, including various types of synthetic fibres and human hair. For example, some synthetic fibre is softer and silkier than other types, therefore, making the wig more expensive. Some materials used inside the wigs are lighter and more durable, therefore increasing costs.
