Social Media & Marketing Assistant.

A fantastic opportunity for a fashion and beauty obsessed Marketing Graduate.

Trend driven, social media savvy and with a flair for fashion and writing, you will work with two exciting hair brands.

Focussing on social media and PR, you will be creating informative and innovative videos, blog posts, and social media content to really take these brands to the next level.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager you will also work across the entire marketing spectrum, from helping to create direct mail and wholesale catalogues through to in-store display, PR and e-commerce in a true omni-channel environment.

To be successful in this role you will have a Marketing Degree or similar and may have already worked in a marketing role.  You will be an enthusiastic and bright individual who is motivated and looking for a challenge in their next role.

The ideal candidate will be in demonstrably in love with all things hair or beauty, whether through creating your own blog/vlog & social channels or have worked in a hair or beauty salon.  

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Graduate Calibre

  • Marketing Degree or similar
  • Creative Eye with excellent photographic skills- DSLR
  • Social Media Star:  Proven user of social media channels with a high level of understanding of key social networks, particularly Instagram,Youtube and Pinterest.
  • Knowledge of social platform management tools advantageous (Hootesuite/Tweetdeck/Tailwind)
  • Confident Filming or appearing on film to aid content creation
  • Excellent Copy Writing Skills
  • Passionate and informed about hair, beauty & fashion trends
  • Competent with hair and beauty styling
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages & Google Analytics, Knowledge of Adobe software an advantage
  • Creative & Flexible Thinker, Self Starter,
  • Excellent written & spoken English
  • Photo and film editing ability an advantage

We are the UK’s leading distributor of hair products, supplying and fitting Wigs & Hairpieces and Hair Extensions, to both fashion and necessity wearers. Our sales consultants are imaginative about hair, delivering a VIP experience to customers. This interesting position requires a drive for selling and a love of hair & beauty as well as empathy and a desire to help people with their hair requirements.

We are looking for a Retail Assistant Manager - Full Time, to join our Team at the Hot Hair concession in Selfridges – London.

Reporting to and assisting our Concession Manager in running the concession and to drive sales - this is an exciting and varied hands–on role.

 

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Assist in driving sales

Customer consultations / fitting wigs and hair pieces

Merchandising

Stock Control / Replenishment and Ordering

Co-ordinate staff rotas

Team motivation (leading by example)

Assist to promote our products and brand awareness

Administration and reporting to store and head office departments

 

You must be able to demonstrate the following experience and skills:

Previous Retail experience - is essential

People management skills experience - is desirable

Hairdressing experience is desirable but not essential, however, you should have a passion and flair for helping people find the right hairstyles to suit them

Good numeracy and written skills, with the ability to write basic trading reports

A confident communicator with staff and management

The ability to work under pressure and be able to adapt to change

 

A successful candidate for this role must:

Be Sales focused with a proven outstanding record in meeting and exceeding targets

Have the ability to: Prioritise and Multi-task and Meet Deadlines

Possess a high level of enthusiasm for work and be self-motivated

Candidates MUST BE FLEXIBLE with the working hours. Shifts are over 7 days, include early starts, late nights, and weekends and extended trading hours. The days and times for shifts will vary depending on the business/store needs.
